Before our January 1st party officially ended in our Manila house, we were on our way to Batangas to catch the ferry to Mindoro. We missed the earliest scheduled ride so we opted for a small bangka, boat, instead to take us across the waters to White Beach. It was worse than a cab ride in New York City -- the fierce waves and strong winds shook our stomachs so much that we've forgotten what we ate for New Year's dinner.
